Parsha In this week’s Parsha, we find two separate admonitions not to forget Hashem. The first is found in the very beginning of the second Aliyah. The second is just three verses later- after the psukim mention the attainment of great wealth. Why is this concern of “forgetting Hashem” mentioned twice? It seems to be an unnecessarily redundancy!

Parsha In this week’s Parsha, Moshe Rabbeinu relates to the nation of Israel how he tried to convince Hashem to allow him to enter into Eretz Yisroel, but Hashem was firm. He then relates how Hashem told him as follows (Dvarim 3:27): “Go up to the top of the summit and gaze about, to the west, the north, the south, and the east. Look at it well, for you shall not go cross this Jordan [River].”...


August 6, 2022; Av 9, 5782

Parsha The first Passuk in Sefer Dvarim tells us that Moshe Rabbeinu delivered words of rebuke in front of “all the Bnei Yisroel.” Why was it necessary for Moshe to deliver his rebuke to everyone? From a logistical standpoint, gathering all of Bnei Yisroel would seem to be a difficult task. Wouldn’t it have been sufficient to gather most of Beni Yisroel and the others would have heard Moshe’s message from those in attendance? Imagine a school principal waiting for every single student to be present in order to deliver his message. Why would that be necessary?...
