Halacha – Jewish Law Reneging On a Job Offer
After interviewing numerous candidates, I made my hiring decision and verbally informed the candidate that I selected. Before we signed the employment contract, I was informed of someone else who had a much better resume. After interviewing this other candidate, I feel that he is better suited for the job. May I hire him or must I keep my word and hire the person I originally selected?
