Halacha – Jewish Law Misleading Someone Unintentionally: If Reuven unintentionally deceived Shimon into thinking that Reuven extended a kindness to him that in reality did not occur, then it appears that Reuven has transgressed the prohibition of misleading others (Genaivas Daas).
